“I participated in the simulation and co-organized my own business competition. Although I am now in academia rather than the business world, the abilities I developed at FE—persuading others, leading teams, cooperating efficiently, and understanding complex variables—have profoundly impacted my research today.”

NPS with Honest Denominators
At FE Business Simulation, we don't believe in vanity metrics. We measure our product experience using the strictest interpretation of the Net Promoter Score (NPS). Our methodology is our proof of credibility.
- 100% Survey Coverage, 70% Real Response Rate At the end of every session, all participants receive an anonymous survey. Our historical average response rate of 70% ensures absolute sample representativeness.
- Non-Respondents Counted as Passives To prevent survivorship bias, the remaining 30% who do not submit surveys are forced into the NPS denominator as passives (neutral). We never exclude the silent majority.
- 90% of Sessions Fall Between +37 ~ +58 This is a distribution across sessions, not an average. Individual sessions fluctuate; our lowest recorded score was +33. We disclose the bottom 10% because clients buy a single session, not the average.
TRANSFERABLE SKILLS
It only counts if it leaves the room
The fair criticism of any simulation is that people enjoy it and then use none of it. So we asked the question directly in two sessions run for adult participants: compared with a conventional course, do you walk out with more usable skills, or about the same?
answered "more"
55 responses across two sessions
- More
- 39
- About the same
- 10
- Hard to say
- 6
Where the sample comes from
- Nanjing University · 17 Jun 2023 · 17 responses · 14 answered "more"
- Guangzhou Bio-Island · 30 Nov 2023 · 38 responses · 25 answered "more"
The denominator is every survey returned. Nothing was dropped — including low scores and blanks.
In their words
I saw how the parts of a company actually connect, and what it takes to change course once something breaks.
It felt less like being taught and more like actually deciding.
What they asked for next
In the Bio-Island session we also asked what they would want to work through next. The top three:
- Silicon Valley venture method: from R&D to market
- Taking a technology company public
- Finance and investment
All three point towards startups and innovation — the scenarios we are currently building out.

“FE Business Simulation laid the foundation for my career. Its spirit inspired me to explore the world: studying abroad, gaining entrepreneurial experience, and choosing the uncertainty of dropping out over a stable college life. The business models I learned at FE still prove useful in practical applications today.”
“My interest in business began in high school when I founded a business club. Working with FE taught me how to develop business inspiration into a scalable startup, and I achieved initial profitability through simulation event operations. This experience was incredibly inspiring and beneficial for my later studies and career.”
“As a student, I was always tutoring in math and science, but working as FE staff, I saw things in these students that I hadn't achieved myself. Working alongside the FE team taught me never to settle for the status quo, which became the driving force on my entrepreneurial journey.”
“It's been three years since I first joined FE. Along the way, FE has expanded from Hangzhou to all over the country, which couldn't have happened without everyone's hard work. Although I've left FE for a long time, the FE spirit continues to influence all of us. Wishing FE a bright future!”
“FE taught me not just business knowledge, but hard tech skills and soft interpersonal skills. Thanks to FE, I went from being closed-off about my major to genuinely loving it. I met excellent and interesting people, giving me new perspectives on learning and my future. The national competitions during summer were absolutely the most fulfilling times.”
“I didn't want to see my peers who loved business just doing test papers or starting 'PPT businesses'. I wanted to bring this platform and opportunity to more people around me. Managing FBOA significantly improved my learning ability, responsibility, team management, and business acumen. This experience became my personal calling card.”
“My story with FE began in 2014. FE's gamified education model profoundly influenced my learning style, enabling me to explore various fields efficiently. Future entrepreneurs and leaders gather here to face challenges, learn cooperation, and explore innovation. I am very grateful for the FE experience.”
“The biggest advantage of FE is the experience. They built a micro-world close to reality yet highly playable. We relied entirely on trading with the AI and won second place by a 50% margin. It was truly a testament to how technology changes lives. My biggest takeaway was the friends I made—both teammates and opponents.”
“My experiences competing and working with FE were the most brilliant moments of my high school years. Looking back, FE gave me far more than theories and formulas; it gave me perseverance, an attitude of excellence, and the spirit to break conventions. FE redefined and elevated the concept of business competitions.”
“FE sparked my interest in business, and even though I majored in biology, my passion for business never changed. The knowledge learned during the competitions and conversations with the team far exceeded textbook learning. FE inspired me to challenge the future and see infinite possibilities.”
“FE is a system I will never fully 'figure out', but it helped me figure out my high school life. School is a protective bubble, and we need to 'burst the bubble' to try new things and meet amazing people. During my cooperation with FE, I expanded my comprehensive abilities and jumped out of the school walls.”
“FE is a professional yet fun competition. The daily one-hour professional lectures gave me a preliminary understanding of HR and economics, guiding my college major choices. The volunteers were incredibly patient and professional. Thank you FE for letting me meet these lovely people with dreams.”
“FE was my first business simulation, and participating in the 2017 national summit sparked my entrepreneurial idea. FE is highly academic yet avoids rigid formats, using gamified education to enrich students' learning. The FE textbook is a must-read for business beginners, easy to grasp and rich in content.”
“Because we are young, we are fearless. By trying things we like, we might just find the love of our lives in every sense. Please find it, and pour all your passion into it. I hope everyone can move forward bravely and live up to their youth.”
“Only after meeting Martin did I feel my high school life had truly begun. Working with FE taught me how to run a club, host a competition, and eventually start a business. It cultivated my leadership and gave me a network that will benefit me for the next decade.”
“It was truly an unforgettable experience. I hadn't participated in any business competitions before, and I wasn't a business major. I still keep the two FE textbooks. I learned so much, both inside and outside the competition. I am grateful to FE for giving me new perspectives on my life.”
“I was a participant in 2016 and returned as a TA in 2019. FE gave me a completely new perspective on looking at an enterprise or an industry, from internal operations to peer competition and supply chain communication. It presented a comprehensive overview that closely matched the real market.”
